We have enjoyed some sunny and warm days in Valdemarsvik, but Fall seems to be catching up to us with some rain and a chill in the air. Saturday the 8th was sunny but on the cool side. A stream of medium size and larger sail boats made their way to one side of the harbor to take down their masts, and then to a station where a crane could put them on transport to storage.
Today, Sunday, only two larger out-of-town craft remain in the public harbor, and some smaller boast the can be easily extracted. The boats have told us to get ready for the weather. The harbor here will ice over in Winter. Snow was heavier than usual the last two years. As a guy from Miami, I hope that pattern is not replicated.
